Civil Engineer II

 JOB REQUIREMENTS TTP Division

• One year of civil engineering experience and a Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or
• Two years of civil engineering experience and a related engineering degree.
• All positions in the classification may require the use of personal or City vehicles on City business. Individuals must be physically capable of operating the vehicles safely, possess a valid driver’s license and have an acceptable driving record. Use of a personal vehicle for City business will be prohibited if the employee does not have personal insurance coverage.
• An equivalent combination of related experience and education may be considered.
• Only the highest qualified will be posted to the eligible to hire list.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS Includes the job requirements listed above, plus:

• Proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office applications is required.
• Knowledge of roadway design principles, including traffic-signal, signing and striping design is required.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Includes the job requirements listed above, plus:

• An Engineering-In-Training (EIT) certification, aptitude for great customer service, good, verbal and written communication, and project management skills are highly desirable.
• Working knowledge of ArcGIS application and similar software applications is highly desirable.
