RSG seeks a talented and versatile Senior Travel Forecasting Manager to join and expand our growing practices providing public and private sector clients the insights to adapt to, and maximize the value of, future mobility paradigms.
As a Senior Travel Forecasting Manager, you are on the leading edge of advances in the transportation industry developing new methodologies for mining and combining passive and traditional behavioral survey data, making sense of this information via innovative analytical processes and using the resulting insights to assist clients in understanding and navigating the rapidly evolving world of future mobility and its many economic and social implications. Your work involves awareness of current and future trends in the transportation industry, working with other leaders to develop tools and methods to understand and explain these trends, managing a team that deploys these tools and methods to support client needs, and communicating findings to clients and industry leaders. Your work also involves developing new business through applying these ideas to benefit other potential clients.
You are a self-motivated team player with a proven record of innovation and leadership in the travel demand modeling and forecasting industry. You enjoy working in a collaborative and creative environment and doing work that has a meaningful positive impact. You have a solid foundation in the theoretical concepts of travel forecasting, network modeling, statistics, and data analysis. You work well with clients and possess good interpersonal skills to represent the company, with existing and prospective clients, industry stake holders and professional organizations. You are a resourceful, clear and creative thinker, dedicated to high quality work. You have the desire to develop ‘best in class’ products and forecasting tools; the ability to manage a project on time, on budget and to client satisfaction; and possess sound technical judgment.
12+ years of experience in the travel demand modeling and forecasting industry. Proven expertise in the analytical methods and software used in travel modeling and forecasting and in thinking creatively about how to solve problems.
Efficient manager of people and workflow of multiple competing projects, priorities and deadlines.
Effective in a variety of communication settings: with clients, peers and staff; presenting, one-to-one and in groups. Ability to communicate complex information clearly and succinctly both verbally and in writing. Ability to develop, and persuasively communicate relevant work scopes and insightful recommendations that are clear and practical for clients and stakeholders
Demonstrated ability to develop business opportunities
