Amec Foster Wheeler is seeking multiple senior-level Program Leadsin the transportation and vertical structure infrastructure sectors to support upcoming opportunities with US funding institutions. Projects will target advancing the transportation and infrastructure sectors, specifically as related to road maintenance and asset management, transport economics, legal/regulatory restructuring, and environmental, social and health considerations, for countries including El Salvador, Liberia, Morocco and Nepal. Projects will be performed in close coordination with US funding agencies and local stakeholder counterparts. Extensive in-country technical work experience is highly preferred, as is fluency in local languages.

Transport and Vertical Structure Infrastructure Engineering

Environmental, Resettlement, Social & Gender Considerations
These positions will require periodic travel to in-country project sites as well as to client meetings in the US. Amec Foster Wheeler’s senior-level Transportation and Vertical Structure Infrastructure Program Leads will provide technical leadership, project management, and strategy and design services for the transportation sector; successful candidates will report administratively to Amec Foster Wheeler’s Home Office Project Manager.
Contract length: Up to five (5) years
Serving as Amec Foster Wheeler’s senior staff member and liaison with both the client and the project team
Leading project teams in providing technical advisory services for the transport and infrastructure sectors while managing project staff
Reporting to Amec Foster Wheeler Home Office Project Manager on project progress, needs and issues
Supporting Amec Foster Wheeler Home Office staff in developing monthly project invoices
Skills / Qualifications
A minimum of 15 years of working experience in implementing transport and/or vertical structure infrastructure projects, especially in road asset management and sector restructuring, is desired
Preferably a Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field, with a Master’s degree in engineering management, transport economics or other similar fields
Extensive in-country technical work experience is highly preferred, as is fluency in local languages
Extensive knowledge of international best practices in road asset management, transport economics, investment modeling, transport planning, transport sector regulations and institutional arrangements, policy reforms, contract procedures, project follow-up and risk management
Experience working and living in developing and/or post-conflict countries, with a preference for experience in the aforementioned countries
Ability to work in a team environment with multiple reporting priorities
