Review customer requirements and use them to develop internal work instructions.
Interface with fellow STROCOnians to research and answer questions about customer requirements.
Interface with customers and suppliers to research and answer questions about STROCO made products and resolve problems with product quality.
Complete special & ad hoc projects as assigned.
Quality System Activities:
Develop, implement and monitor programs and procedures pertaining to quality issues and requirements.
Develop and manage the quality system in the form of documentation, process/procedures, and advise Operations on best practices.
Participate in corrective action projects to address quality issues.
Complete required system audits, report findings, and coordinate corrective actions.
Complete root cause-effect analysis, identify process improvement opportunities.
Coordinate activities to complete projects on schedule and achieve defined objectives using Lean/Continuous Improvement techniques (i.e.: planning workloads and work priority).

Education: Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent aerospace industry experience.
# years of experience: 1- 2 years preferred, but not required.
Multi-task and take on new projects in a fast-paced environment.
Effective verbal and written communication with people at all organizational levels.
Position requires strong computer skills and excellent typing skills. With frequent use of Microsoft Office products including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
Provide reports and spreadsheets on an as-needed basis.
Understand GD&T and how it is applied to parts and drawings.
Read and interpret aircraft process specs, engineering drawings and mylars.
Use inspection equipment and instruments - calipers and micrometers.
Complete AS9102 First Article Inspection Reports.
Learn new software and systems.
Follow established Quality System protocol for compliance to AS9100 Quality System.
Previous aerospace experience.
Small job shop environment and/or machine shop experience.
4-year engineering degree.
CATIA and/or NX experience.
ASQ certified quality engineer.
ISO9001:2000 and/or AS9100 Quality Systems experience: Experience completing AS9102 First Article Inspection Reports
Previous engineering work experience in:
Hands on Attitude.
Practice the Golden Rule.
Note: This position encounters minimal direct exposure to a machine shop environment with work requiring possible lifting, pulling, and carrying of up to thirty (30) pounds. Possible bending, reaching, and movement of product. Sitting for up to nine (9) hours per day.
Note: Interaction will be required with all employees/departments in some capacity.
