ESA is seeking a Noise Engineer or Scientist with three to ten years of technical expertise in noise analysis with specific work experience in CEQA and NEPA impact assessment, noise monitoring and noise modeling. Position also requires familiarity in application of noise regulations, standards, and noise and vibration impact guidance of the Federal Transit Administration and Caltrans. Noise modeling experience should include the use of the FHWA Noise Prediction Model, Roadway Construction Noise Model and/or SoundPlan or CadnaA. A background on noise field monitoring is required. Although not required, we also desire candidates with vibration monitoring experience or underwater noise monitoring experience. Successful candidate will have the ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Candidates should have a Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Engineering or Sciences with strong computer skills and excellent written/oral communication skills. Position is located in Sacramento.
