DESCRIPTION: The San Antonio River Authority (River Authority) is seeking a highly qualified professional to join our team as the Chief Water Resources Engineer. As a key member of the executive team, the new Director will bring exceptional leadership, innovative technical strategies, and excellent communication skills to the organization. Under the direction of the Assistant General Manager, this strategic leader overseas the day-to-day activities of several technical functions including Watershed Engineering, Environmental Services, and Real Estate Services. The ideal candidate will be driven and inspired to carry out the implementation of regional, multi-faceted programs to ensure our vital natural resources are protected in a growing region, and preserve the quality of life for area residents, has a strong understanding of policies, programs, and practices affecting water resource management in Texas, and possesses 8-years of progressively responsible leadership for variable direction and planning, coupled with a graduate degree in related technical fields.
COMPENSATION: Minimum salary range is $147,559.14 (DOE) plus outstanding fringe benefits which includes excellent health/vision/dental insurance packages, 401a/457b retirement program, 12 vacations days per year, 11 paid holidays per year, etc.
