We are currently seeking a Track Engineering Manager.
This position entails performing engineering and management duties in planning, designing, and overseeing construction of vertical and horizontal alignment of track for railroads.
Assign, manage, and perform project work including scope, schedule, and budget and produce accurate and timely financial and project reporting and client deliverables as required.
Analyze survey reports, maps, drawings, blueprints, aerial photography, and other topographical or geologic data to plan projects.
Technical responsibility for interpreting, organizing, executing, and coordinating projects, including the investigation, development, and approaches for the project.
Ensure managers and engineers/designers are following relevant federal, state, local, and industry standards.
Analyze and review the design requirements to ensure match with customers' specifications.
Enforce QA/QC policies, and identify possible quality and safety issues within the scope of the project in order to fulfill project-related contractual requirements.
Provide technical advice regarding design, construction, or program modifications, and track structural repairs.
Write factory and field-test procedures when applicable.
Review and approve designs developed by track staff and seal drawings, if licensed.
Participate in developing proposals, including technical design and cost estimates and participate in client presentations to secure new work.
Minimum of ten years’ relevant discipline experience.
Minimum of five years’ demonstrated management experience.
Proficient project management experience and skill.
Leadership and communications skills to supervise and mentor subordinates.
Excellent oral and written English communication skills.
Experience in project management, design, inspection, and construction of major facilities and/or rail transportation projects.
Supervise staff of track engineers and designers
