Wood Environment & Infrastructure Solutions currently has an opportunity for a summer Water Resources Engineering Intern in the Denver, CO office. Will work under the supervision of a Senior Engineer supporting our hydraulics and hydrology group
Will support transportation engineering, drainage engineering and floodplain management work
Will develop system plan drawings using MicroStation or AutoCAD?
May perform surface water hydrologic and hydraulic modeling utilizing HY - 8, HEC - HMS, HEC - RAS, and ArcGIS software extensions
Convey results and findings by means of oral discussions, graphic - based presentations, and project documentation
Skills / Qualifications
Current undergraduate (minimum Junior level) or graduate student in good standing working towards a degree in Civil / Water Resources Engineering or closely related field within an accredited program
Experience with MicroStation / Geopark and / or AutoCAD a plus
Experience using HEC - HMS, HEC - RAS, HY - 8 software is a plus
Experience using ArcGIS is a plus
Excellent oral and written English communication skills preferred
Ability to work efficiently and demonstrate effective organizational skills
Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work with staff in a team environment
Must pass drug test and background check
