This position performs highly responsible work relating to the City’s project management functions. This involves advanced professional and administrative work related to the management of capital/construction/process implementation projects for the City. The Project Manager analyzes proposals; initiates and maintains capital project contracts; leads the development and implementation of assigned projects according to defined goals and objectives; coordinates the review of the work of vendors and consultants engaged in a variety of complex projects; monitors project effectiveness and identifies potential areas for improvement; assists in the inspection of projects for substantial completion and prepares punch list of any deficiencies; responds to and resolves difficult and often sensitive citizen inquiries and complaints that may arise related to assigned projects; and performs special investigations, site analysis and feasibility studies as required and submits technical and management reports.
