The Project Manager position requires an experienced and proven project lead to work in the fast-paced Utilities and Infrastructure department. This position will be responsible for oversight of staff and consultants working on capital projects, including management, design, and construction of capital infrastructure, not limited to parks, facilities, utility, transportation, geotechnical, stormwater and environmental projects. The project manager will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of project delivery including public presentations, consultant management, budget management, schedule management, coordination with other departments, resident outreach, and permitting. The selected candidate will be required to collaborate on multiple different projects with multiple stake holders concurrently and shall be able to demonstrate a history of successfully completed projects.
Requires B.S. in Civil Engineering, architecture, or related field and considerable construction and engineering experience. Successful candidate will have excellent communication skills and the ability to coordinate project needs amongst multiple stakeholders. North Carolina Professional Engineer or Engineer Intern license preferred. Compensation depending on qualifications and experience. Position is open until filled.
