The City of Henderson announces an examination to create a consideration for hire list and to fill one (1) vacancy for the classification of Intern - Office of Performance & Innovation in the City Manager's Office.
The selected incumbent will, under immediate supervision, perform research, analytical and technical work designed to provide hands on learning experience related to the Henderson Quality Management (HQM) program areas of process improvement and innovation, data collection, metrics and analytics, and strategic planning; and perform related duties as assigned.
Position Information:
- This is a graduate internship. Candidates must have a bachelor's degree and be currently enrolled in a post-baccalaureate program.
- This is a part-time, non-PERS eligible position
- Work schedule will consist of an average of 19 hours/week. Hours per week may increase or decrease based on Department need.
- This NOT a seasonal internship - the successful candidate will be expected to work during the summer and the school year.
- Position is not eligible for benefits or wage increases
- Graduation from high school or equivalent
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Public Administration, Business or a closely related field
- Must be currently enrolled in an accredited college or university advanced degree program in Public Administration, Business, or a closely related field
- Must possess and maintain a valid Nevada or "border state" driver's license, as defined by NRS 483
