We are currently looking for a Lead Structural Engineer for building design with a positive, hands-on, collaborative work style to join our Durham, NC office to elevate our engineering capabilities and further grow dynamic Engineering Studios in every office of Little.  Experience should include most of the following project types: civic/government, financial services, retail, high tech/R&D, healthcare, office, interior renovation, higher education, and/or education projects.

• Supervise work of a staff of engineers and technicians (approx. 3-6)

Candidates will have the following qualifications:

• You are curious and creative, have a passion for problem-solving and critical thinking, and able to collaborate in a team setting
• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering (Master’s a plus);
• 10+ years of professional experience
• Strong proficiency with Revit (AutoCAD a plus) to generate construction documents
• Registered Professional Engineer, Structural concentration (SE a plus)
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Experience with LEED Certified Projects and passion for Sustainability (LEED Accredited a plus)

Little is made up of Architects, Mechanical, Electrical and Structural Engineers, Land Planners, Landscape Architects & Civil Engineers, Interior Designers, Graphic Designers, CAFM & Strategic Planners and Digital Imaging and Animation specialists. Our other offices are in Charlotte NC, Newport Beach CA, Washington DC, Orlando FL, and Charleston SC.
