Performs administrative and management work directing and coordinating transportation engineering activities within the Transportation Department. Work involves the supervision of all activities related to transportation engineering. Responsibilities include traffic operations; intelligent transportation systems; traffic safety; neighborhood traffic management; construction zone and special event management and permitting; roadway and infrastructure planning, design, and construction management; coordination of transit design, implementation and operations; reviews of transportation system impacts and mitigation plans; coordination with numerous local, state and federal agencies; representation on behalf of the City on various technical committees; development and management of the City
