Under general supervision, performs technical traffic engineering functions and provides technical support relating to the City's traffic planning and engineering. Maintains the City's computerized traffic signal system; modifies the system's programming.  Prepares traffic signal timing charts and makes timing adjustments to signals; inspects traffic signals to ensure accurate operation. Reviews traffic control plans and approves traffic control permits submitted by contractors. Calculates and collects associated fees for the appropriate permits and issues receipts.
