This position is responsible for providing executive leadership, strategic and organizational direction, and managerial expertise for the Minnesota Department of Transportation’s Metro district operations. Duties include:
Transportation program delivery
Maintenance legislative and policy development
Strategic, business, and work planning; department wide collaboration; and change management to assure continuous improvement.
Travel throughout the Twin Cities Metro area will be required. Travel across the state is periodically required, including monthly division meetings. Occasional national travel is also required for training, conferences, and meeting with congressional members (Total travel up to 25%, no more than 10% of travel includes overnight stays).
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
You must be registered as a professional civil engineer with the Minnesota Board of Architecture, Engineering, Land Surveying, Landscape Architecture, Geoscience, and Interior Design (AELSLAGID) AND
Three years of executive leadership and managerial experience at the office/division leadership level or equivalent; OR
Five years of executive leadership and managerial experience at the assistant office/division leadership level or equivalent.
