The City’s Public Works Department is staffed by approximately 200 employees who are responsible for many services, including engineering.
Three Engineering Managers report to the Deputy Director/City Engineer. The Engineering Manager overseeing land development and transportation will retire this summer and the city plans to hire in advance of that transition. The City seeks well-rounded leaders who combine technical credibility with approachability, sound judgment, and a collaborative leadership style to work on a wide range of high-impact projects. Candidates with experience in land development, transportation, capital projects, or water and wastewater systems are encouraged to apply.
Requires a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, seven years of professional engineering experience (including two years in a supervisory or administrative role), and current registration as a California Professional Engineer (Civil).
